• Go to the alternative checkout
• Complete the customer’s cart with all products, delivery options, and information as if you were creating a regular order on the website
• Select the Pay by link button (EMAIL or SMS)
• Tell the customer to complete the payment using the link they received via email or SMS
• Done

Important to know:

• It is easiest to ask the customer to complete the payment while you are together so you can review the order confirmation that is sent by email. This ensures the payment goes through
• If customers ask why we do this, it is mainly to avoid entering customer card details on our devices. This way, payment is always completed on the customer’s own device
• If the customer is on site, make sure they pay immediately, as an order is not created until the payment is completed via the link
• All payment methods available in checkout are also available in Pay by link
• There is no strict expiration for the link, but communicate that it is valid for 7 days. We want the customer to complete the purchase within 24 hours after receiving the link
